  1. these are beautiful..particularly the last one…I love how your diy turned out! love the color of the cabinet under the counter too! do check out my aqua-themed post when you have a moment! xx meenal

  2. That looks great! I never thought of that…a great way to add interest to a huge mirror (like the mirrored closet doors in our master bath!).

  3. Perfect timing! I am doing something similar to what you did in your old entry (only with paint, instead of top-taping the walls with vellum tape) and I need a little (subtle!) sparkle in there now!

  4. I really want to do this idea in our second bath but I'm afraid the steam would weaken the strips over time. So I'm guessing your mom hasn't had any trouble though so I should try it!

  5. I have this very 80's esque wall of mirrors above the chair rail in the dining space of my condo. It's the wall that faces you when you walk through the front door. I've been trying to come up with a way to update it, but hanging my huge framed mirror on top of it seemed like it might require a ceiling plate and be a nightmare of a project. Do you think these mirrors would provide an updated look?

  6. How many strips did this actually take? Did you leave the tiny pull taps exposed in anyway to make it easy to remove? How has it held up at your moms house?

  7. Libby – I'd definitley give this project a try. I'm doing it in our apartment too.

Anon – the mirrors have held for more than a year without a single problem. I think we used about six strips per mirror.

    xx

  8. I have the mirror from lowes in our bathroom for our beauty salon, it's totally gorgeous! Love your project for your parent's bathroom, very inventive.

  9. What a great idea! I have that Ikea mirror in my bedroom on top of my dressing table, but have been trying to figure out a way to dress my master bath mirror up. I love it!!

  10. I've been wanting to do this in my bathroom ever since I saw your post of your parent's remodel.

I've been wondering whether they are still sticking up there after all this time.
