Hi Susan! I guess it kind of is like a printed mat! But it looks so much like a vintage rug, which are usually also very thin, that it doesn’t read as cheap in person!

It seems from the description that it is more of a printed mat than an actual woven rug. It seems like that would look cheap in person, but given how you like it, perhaps not the case.
