To me stability is the real benefit of engineered wood, Krista! We have the same issue in Arizona and I will only be using engineered wood from here on out. If you get a good brand, they have enough of a veneer to refinish one or even two times. There really are no downsides to me! :)]]></description>

We are building a new home and I really want this look but we prefer the feel and longevity of solid wood but our builder keeps telling us anything over 5&quot; will buckle over time with the change of heat and air during the seasons.
