Move over, mint green! Everywhere I turn lately, I’m seeing icy, powder blue – and I’m loving it! We’ve been using the color a lot in some of the client installs we’ve been working on the past couple weeks. (I can’t wait to get the photos back from the photographers to share with you! :) Here are a few of my recent favorite rooms with pops of this pretty powder blue.
And since it’s on the brain, everything I’ve bought for myself lately seems to be some shade of light blue! Here is a round up of my recent favorites…

1: This swimming suit! I saw it on another woman at the beach a few weeks ago and it is SO cute in person.
2: Sunglasses. The shape, the color, YES PLEASE. (On sale for under $10!)
3: I may have ordered 3 of these hats last week. The perfect summer baseball cap for under $5! (Even though they aren’t prime, the came within the week!)

7: Hat, to wear at the pool all summer!
FOR YOUR HOME…
1: Chair, I love this shape.
2: Society6 print– blurry, beautiful, and blue.
3: I love the pop of color in this sconce. Eyeing it for an upcoming client project, can’t beat that price.
4: Pillow, reminding me of LGN of old!
5: Fun colored Eiffel chair
6: Pretty planter (under $20!)
Have you seen any great powder blue spaces or pieces lately? Doesn’t it feel like such a fresh color?!

So pretty! I’m not sure if you will read this comment, but do you have any recommendations for dimensions/how to make your own “custom” curtains? I live too far from any major cities for the custom curtain stores to work with me so I am trying to figure out dimensions for large windows in my living room and your house always looks like perfection! :)

I’m dying with jealous over the blue kitchen cabinetry but I am a little surprised that the production staff didn’t fix that crooked door above the hood. I’m twitching just looking at it! #typeAproblems
We are redoing a retro camper and we had the bottom half painted an icy powder blue and the top half a creamy white. I need an idea for a color for the stripe that will be put on the seam of those two colors! This is also the color that I will try and accent everything with! Any suggestions?
jenny, this is a comment about a past post. would you explain the reason you and your sister chose laminate over wood or engineered wood. my engineered wood floor is looking pretty rough in my family/kitchen. i am considering laminate or refinishing the wood. what are your thoughts on laminate or wood and how to make the choice.
A lot of the factor was price, but Ali chose laminate because it was water-resistant. It would probably be less expensive for you to refinish your floors than to pull everything up and replace it with a new product. Hope that helps! :)

That photo is from Emily Henderson’s blog, and the work is her’s. Not a huge issue of course, but it’s such a recognizable project of Emily’s so it would make sense to link accordingly rather than to a blog that didn’t do any of the work.
