BUT I have to warn you about replacing your cool victorian exterior trim with the shingled columns – I think it will cheapen the look of your house. Shingled columns fall into the category I call "Builder's Special" – changes that are the most unimaginative and cheap. Perhaps consider painting your trim black, and your house a nice warm gray? Keep its awesome character!
