I’m renting a car today to buy some finishing materials outside the city for a bedroom that is getting photographed this weekend. I can’t wait to share the photos with you the first week of November hopefully.

And how can you go wrong with a chevron chalkboard?
My friend here has a great prewar apartment, but her refrigerator looks a little prewar too :) so we’re going to cover it up. The cork option HERE is my very favorite I think. I don’t really need to cover up our fridge, but I would do it anyway. It looks amazing and seems more functional than the regular magnet situation.

Wow — I've never seen anything like the Orla Kiely wallpaper fridge. I'd love to see it in an actual kitchen –would it dominate the space or could it be worked in to be in harmony with the rest of the space?

I love the idea of covering an ugly fridge – especially since I have one and can't imagine buying a new one until this one is in the appliance cemetery. Mine is a lovely almond color dating from the 80s. And the cork board option is perfect since now the fridge is covered in magnets, calendars, my kid's artwork. I'm not a DIY kind of person but I am hoping to ace this one! Thanks for the inspiration and good luck with the shoot. Cheers, Cynthia
I have a terrible dishwasher that I NEED to cover…problem is I'm in a rental. What's a good way to apply one of these options (think I'd go blackboard paint) to an appliance that isn't your own? Thanks! Sarah
I'm curious about the cork board–wouldn't it be quite thin? I'm not sure that regular pushpins would work to affix anything to it…but I like the look.
