We have a couple of glass floats similar to the one shown. We went to a glass blowing shop in Lincoln City, OR, where we got to choose the colors and watch them being created. It is mezmerizing! There are several glass blowing shops on the Oregon coast that make these glass floats, they are kind of a tradition over here. Originally these glass fishing net floats would wash up on the Oregon beach from Japan and can still be found from time to time. Eventually glass blowers in the area started creating these beautiful decorative ones.
