This post brought to you by Pier 1. All opinions are 100% mine.
A couple months ago, Pier 1 invited me to stop into their 5th Ave store to take photos of my favorite holiday wares. It was so much fun that I jumped at the chance to stop in again to see their new spring line. And guess what? Pier 1 is offering up a $500 gift card to one of you lucky readers!
Want to see what caught my eye at Pier 1? I was pretty impressed by their outdoor furniture line. We have a rooftop deck and I think some of these pieces would look great up there now that the weather is warming up. I loved this pretty rattan chair with the creamy white cushion:

And aren’t those velvet pillows pretty? They’re an additional 20% off right now. (PS if you sign up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter, you’ll get additional sale info and coupons)

I also loved this wing back style wicker chair:

There was a settee in this style too that I also really liked.

For my outdoor space, I would mix a pair of one of the rattan chairs from above with a couple of fun accents chairs, like this scrolled peacock chair:

Or a pair of these teal lacquered arm chairs:

I also really liked this little wooden accent chair:

I would also throw in a fun outdoor rug or two:

And speaking of rugs, I really loved this wool ombre rug:

I was impressed with the quality of the wool given the price…

There were some really fun accessories at the store too, like this backgammon table:

And these enamelware canisters in a pretty mint/jade color. I like the more modern font.

I couldn’t resist buying one of these beautiful bowls.

They sort of remind me of a giant clam, but are a little more functional and can be used in the kitchen. Also these would be great for larger flower arrangements.

I really love these marbled glass tumblers, but I couldn’t decide between the acid yellow or the cornflower blue.

Cute resin coasters for a summer bbq!

I picked up a set of these porcelain mushrooms for the built-ins in my girls room:

Wouldn’t this chest of drawers be great painted or leafed?

I love the serpentine shape.

There were some really amazing chair offerings at Pier 1. Check out this bergere style arm chair:

The quilted paisley fabric feels very Anthropologie, but at a fraction of the price.

Sort of a rustic Louis style chair:

This is one of my favorite finds of the day. $160 for a really lovely slipper chair. The pattern on the fabric will mix really well with other patterns and colors.

This chair was another favorite. It was really comfortable and a complete steal at $370. I would put a pair in a living room with a solid, more neutral sofa. I would also add some brass casters to the feet.
Isn’t that fabric fun? And I love how it pairs with the Lulu DK-esque brown velvet pillow (which is on sale for $18).

So, who wants a $500 gift card to spend on some of these gorgeous goods at Pier 1? Here are the official contest rules. You have two way to enter:

  1. I might splurge and get the Carmen sofa in Taupe. It looks like a great base piece with classic lines. I also am loving the eye-popping Isaac swivel chair. Best giveaway ever!!

  2. Considering I'm updating my attic I think I would choose a pair of those pretty slipper chairs, then I'd use the rest for some of that beautiful blue glass ware for my beach cottage smack dab in the middle of southern Oregon.
You can take the girl away from the beach but you can't take the beach out of the girl! :)

Thank you for the awesome giveaway, I love it!

  3. I would buy a new set of outdoor chairs (actually, the white one you pictured above). I saw it at Pier 1 over the weekend and couldn't stop marveling over at how fun it was.

  4. I would get new everyday dishes. Likely the Recycled Glass Dinnerware. I'd probably get some new table linens too (to show off the new dishes, of course!)

  5. I'm in dire need of new dinner plates, and they had several patterns that I'd love to bring home!

  6. I would get the carmicheal Dining table and the hibiscus wing chair. I really liked your pics too….and there was a zebra chair I loved too….;)

  7. I was just thinking last night about how I need to re-vamp the wall behind my couch. Big mirror/piece of artwork…so that's what I'd do with it!

  8. Love that Anthro looking chair, but on the practical side, I sure could use a few of those adorable wicker chairs for my porch.

Thanks so much for the fantastic giveaway!

  9. Love to Coco Cove line! Maybe that or some rugs! Also love the mushrooms, didn't see those when I was poking around the site. Thanks for the giveaway!

  10. I am moving from a tiny apartment to a house in a few months so this would be AMAZING!

I don't know what my yard will look like yet, but I can imagine the Outdoor Swingasan chair with an Outdoor Kaeden pillow resting in it. I lovethe Paisley Outdoor accent table in red, so adorable! My husband and I love to be outdoors so a little outdoor getaway with wonderful pier 1 furniture would be awesome!

  11. AMAZING giveaway!!! I went into the website thinking "drapery, drapery, drapery"…and then the Hayworth collection. OHHHHH the Hayworth!!! The lingerie chest…yes. It owuld match my high gloss/crystal knob furniture so well. If only I had somewhere to put the Petrina Cabinet. Or the Ivory Rose rug…that would go in the nursery!!!
    Great giveaway…thanks

  12. I have so many things I need! A large mirror for the living room wall and an ottoman are my current must haves. I also want new lamps and some new fun things for my kitchen!

  13. We are in the process of buying our first home, so there are so many things I would love to get from Pier 1. But definitely one of the first things I'd buy is the honeycomb mirror.

  14. I am all about Pier One. I love the easter goodies they have out right now but I especially "Need" some of their artwork. Oh the things I could buy…

  15. I would get the painted chest of drawers for sure! I would also probably get some sitting room chairs and decorations for the new apartment I will have with my husband (we're getting married in May!).

  16. Oh, the possibilities! After picking myself up off the floor and recovering from my delightful shock, I would look for a side table and an awesome area rug for my living room…OR possibly have the best time of my life buying lots of fun accessories for the whole house!

  17. I need end tables, lamps, and throw pillows for my half finished basement! I might need to stop and get that white bowl though even if I don't win!

  18. Not sure I could stop at $500 in Pier 1 – but it would be a great start! Definitely two of the Rock Point Outdoor Chair and some fun patterned pillows for accents. I'd load up on some new velvet pillows. I already have them in every room, den, living room, bedroom, but my lab LOVES them so they are a little…worn.

  19. I just love your blog. I thought I had already followed you but I was wrong. Anyhoo I do now! If I were to win $500 gift card from Pier One, I would spend it on outdoor decor. I love to be outside when the weather is nice. I need new cushions mine are all worn out. I would love to have some outdoor lighting, candles, etc. More dinnerware, for entertaining. Thank you for the opportunity. bkings123@hotmail.com

  20. I'm in love with the sea glass lamp and mongolian throw pillows!! My husband and I are newlyweds and would love to finish decorating!

  21. The last chair you show in your post is really comfortable. I recently bought one in a different fabric on clearance for $100. I'll be reupholstering it and adding brass casters, but it was still such a deal. I'd love to get a second one for a different room.

  22. I love many of the Pier 1 curtains and have a few windows that could use the splurge but I might get sidetracked by a few of the chairs…
