A couple months ago, Pier 1 invited me to stop into their 5th Ave store to take photos of my favorite holiday wares. It was so much fun that I jumped at the chance to stop in again to see their new spring line. And guess what? Pier 1 is offering up a $500 gift card to one of you lucky readers!
Want to see what caught my eye at Pier 1? I was pretty impressed by their outdoor furniture line. We have a rooftop deck and I think some of these pieces would look great up there now that the weather is warming up. I loved this pretty rattan chair with the creamy white cushion:

And aren’t those velvet pillows pretty? They’re an additional 20% off right now. (PS if you sign up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter, you’ll get additional sale info and coupons)

I also loved this wing back style wicker chair:

There was a settee in this style too that I also really liked.

For my outdoor space, I would mix a pair of one of the rattan chairs from above with a couple of fun accents chairs, like this scrolled peacock chair:

Or a pair of these teal lacquered arm chairs:

I also really liked this little wooden accent chair:

I would also throw in a fun outdoor rug or two:

And speaking of rugs, I really loved this wool ombre rug:

I was impressed with the quality of the wool given the price…

There were some really fun accessories at the store too, like this backgammon table:

And these enamelware canisters in a pretty mint/jade color. I like the more modern font.

I couldn’t resist buying one of these beautiful bowls.

They sort of remind me of a giant clam, but are a little more functional and can be used in the kitchen. Also these would be great for larger flower arrangements.

I really love these marbled glass tumblers, but I couldn’t decide between the acid yellow or the cornflower blue.

Cute resin coasters for a summer bbq!

I picked up a set of these porcelain mushrooms for the built-ins in my girls room:

Wouldn’t this chest of drawers be great painted or leafed?

I love the serpentine shape.

There were some really amazing chair offerings at Pier 1. Check out this bergere style arm chair:

The quilted paisley fabric feels very Anthropologie, but at a fraction of the price.

Sort of a rustic Louis style chair:

This is one of my favorite finds of the day. $160 for a really lovely slipper chair. The pattern on the fabric will mix really well with other patterns and colors.

This chair was another favorite. It was really comfortable and a complete steal at $370. I would put a pair in a living room with a solid, more neutral sofa. I would also add some brass casters to the feet.
Isn’t that fabric fun? And I love how it pairs with the Lulu DK-esque brown velvet pillow (which is on sale for $18).

So, who wants a $500 gift card to spend on some of these gorgeous goods at Pier 1? Here are the official contest rules. You have two way to enter:

  1. I would purchase a wood bench for our dining room table or some chairs. If I had money left some new throw pillows. We are a family of 5 and only have 4 regular chairs.

  2. I think I would go for the Damask Window Panels and the Capiz Inlay Mirror. Oh and the Rose Tufted Rug is absolutely stunning in both red and ivory!

  3. This one's easy!! I was on my way to buy the Chas armchair when our dishwasher died and funds had to be redirected!! =). Nicole 27202 (no spaces) at frontier dotcom. Thank you for the fabulous giveaway!

  4. We just purchased our first home…but have nothing to fill it with! Would love to place the slipper chair or "Anthropologie" chair in my new living room….seems so warm and inviting!

  6. I pretty much love everything in that store so it would be a tough choice but I would either choose a rug, a headboard, or a few chairs for my new house. Oh how I need to win this contest! Thank you so much for sharing it!

  7. I'm dreaming of creating a reading nook and the Down Bridge Floor Lamp would be the perfect fixture next to a nice Carmen Chair – Taupe.

    Order up! ;)

  8. Wow, this is an amazing giveaway! I always liked Pier 1 for accents and such, but haven't been there in awhile and didn't realize what amazing furniture they have. Thanks for sharing! If I win, I absolutely love the Chas armchair!

    Thank you!!

  14. I'd put it towards a new couch. Ours 6 year old Craigslist find has seen much better days. I think the Abby in sage would be just right. Or a rug (the Trellis outdoor one?) and the Window Mirror? Hope I win!

  15. We just moved back from Europe recently and are in desperate need of larger-scaled side tables, lamps, and wall decor for our super-sized American home. I hadn't even thought to look at Pier1. Thanks for pointing me to a very affordable solution to my problem!

  16. What a great giveaway! I just moved to a new apartment, so I would definitely spend the money on that last chair you featured and some of their wonderful bright colored dining accessories!

  17. I would definitely go for two new outdoor wicker chairs…and beautiful pillows to go with it! Spring is in the air!!

  18. I am working on moving my baby out of the nursery, so I'd love one of the small armless slipper-style chairs for her big-girl room.

  19. I would purchase accent chairs galore! I can think of at least 3 places in my home that could use 1 or two accent chairs. The prices are great, too!

  20. I would get 2 of the Quilted paisely armchairs!! They would be perfect at either end of my antique (hand me down) dining room table!! They are so pretty!

  21. oh my! I would love a new dresser, my grandma gave me her old one and although I love it and having hers in my room, its moldy and I cant get the smell out! Oh grandma!
