A couple months ago, Pier 1 invited me to stop into their 5th Ave store to take photos of my favorite holiday wares. It was so much fun that I jumped at the chance to stop in again to see their new spring line. And guess what? Pier 1 is offering up a $500 gift card to one of you lucky readers!
Want to see what caught my eye at Pier 1? I was pretty impressed by their outdoor furniture line. We have a rooftop deck and I think some of these pieces would look great up there now that the weather is warming up. I loved this pretty rattan chair with the creamy white cushion:

And aren’t those velvet pillows pretty? They’re an additional 20% off right now. (PS if you sign up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter, you’ll get additional sale info and coupons)

I also loved this wing back style wicker chair:

There was a settee in this style too that I also really liked.

For my outdoor space, I would mix a pair of one of the rattan chairs from above with a couple of fun accents chairs, like this scrolled peacock chair:

Or a pair of these teal lacquered arm chairs:

I also really liked this little wooden accent chair:

I would also throw in a fun outdoor rug or two:

And speaking of rugs, I really loved this wool ombre rug:

I was impressed with the quality of the wool given the price…

There were some really fun accessories at the store too, like this backgammon table:

And these enamelware canisters in a pretty mint/jade color. I like the more modern font.

I couldn’t resist buying one of these beautiful bowls.

They sort of remind me of a giant clam, but are a little more functional and can be used in the kitchen. Also these would be great for larger flower arrangements.

I really love these marbled glass tumblers, but I couldn’t decide between the acid yellow or the cornflower blue.

Cute resin coasters for a summer bbq!

I picked up a set of these porcelain mushrooms for the built-ins in my girls room:

Wouldn’t this chest of drawers be great painted or leafed?

I love the serpentine shape.

There were some really amazing chair offerings at Pier 1. Check out this bergere style arm chair:

The quilted paisley fabric feels very Anthropologie, but at a fraction of the price.

Sort of a rustic Louis style chair:

This is one of my favorite finds of the day. $160 for a really lovely slipper chair. The pattern on the fabric will mix really well with other patterns and colors.

This chair was another favorite. It was really comfortable and a complete steal at $370. I would put a pair in a living room with a solid, more neutral sofa. I would also add some brass casters to the feet.
Isn’t that fabric fun? And I love how it pairs with the Lulu DK-esque brown velvet pillow (which is on sale for $18).

So, who wants a $500 gift card to spend on some of these gorgeous goods at Pier 1? Here are the official contest rules. You have two way to enter:

  1. oh heavens, what a fantastic giveaway! I love Pier 1. At Christmas time I wanted to buy an entire tree's worth of decorations. With this gift card though, I think I'd have to get the Hayworth upholstered headboard. I love it, and after 5 years of marriage I still don't have a real bedframe!

  2. I love Pier 1! We just bought the Carmen sofa from there last week and so thrilled with it. I would get either a large rug for our living OR a dining table and chairs. Thanks for the giveaway, Pier 1!

  3. Amazing give-away!!! I could use this in so many ways! I need a headboard for my master so I could do that. But I am also in the middle of completely revamping my backyard so some new outdoor furniture would be key. But I also love some of the home furnishings like the twisted wood floor lamp. Ahhhh so many possibilities, I'm in heaven! I would fall over if I won this. Fingers crossed!!!

  4. ah, what WOULDN't I buy? On the hunt for 2 slipper chairs and an entry table, so I think those take the cake. I'm currently in nesting mode – not only are my husband and I expecting, we recently bought our first home and I am feverishly trying to finish decorating before our little girl arrives. As if I didn't have ENOUGH to do :)

  5. Holy Giveaway, Batman! I would start with the Yellow Feather Tree for Easter, then go crazy in the kitchen department. Those Chalkboard Jars are perfect.

  6. Oh my gosh, I don't know! I love that clam bowl and the canisters but I could really use some mirrors and artwork for my walls.

  7. I love your curated selections from Pier One!

I am loving the Suzani inspired outdoor Kaeden Pillow with the jute braided trim. I'd outfit my wicker porch furniture with an updated look.

The Jardin de Marie outdoor arm chairs are so cute and a beverage tub on a stand would be fun for a backyard bash.

The diamond pattern blue and white rug was great and I don't know where I'd put the honeycomb mirror but its gorgeous!

  8. I would definitely be after those wicker chairs for my sun room. We bought our house this past August, and we still have a few empty rooms to fill, and the sun room is at the top of my list. Thanks for hosting a fab giveaway!

  9. I have been saving up my pier one coupons to purchase some new table lamps as I have been rearranging some of my rooms to have them function better for our family. The two in particular that I am coveting right now are the Serena table lamp and the coral lamp. However, what I am most excited about is trying my DIY hand at repurposing their Recycled Spanish Glass vase into a table lamp with a lamp kit. An outdoor rug or two would come in handy, as well.

  10. I am getting married in 6 weeks and my soon to be husband and I need a lot of stuff for our new home…rugs, curtains, and lamps! I would even love some patio furniture for our little backyard!

    Laura A.

  11. Our kitchen table just broke and I've actually been eyeing one from Pier 1 for awhile! I would use it on that and things to decorate my new baby's room! Love your blog!

  12. I'd love to get the josette chair and a new rug for my dining room. They have so much to love right now!

  13. I would buy rugs for my tiny Manhattan apartment… I love the braided seagrass rug for my bedroom and the Trellis flatweave rug would look fabulous in the living room!

(And then with the leftovers I would buy the exquisite Capiz Inlay Mirror for behind my apartment sofa.)

  14. I would get the chas armchair, or one of the ones in your post, and the gold ruffles pillow. Or I would buy the drop leaf table, or the marchella dining table. I also kind of need the kenzie tall table with stools. So many options!

  15. I would have to fight with myself over a couple of the peacock chairs, a honeycomb mirror and a few different lamps. No problem spending that $$! Pick Me. :)

  16. I'd buy two teal lacquered arm chairs for my deck, along with a fun indoor/outdoor rug. Maybe I could pick up an umbrella too. Getting excited just thinking about it! I'll have to stop into my local Pier 1 very soon!

  17. Hard to narrow it down, but if I were being practical, I would get an outdoor rug for our big front porch, and several throw pillows for our new nursery (as well as some for our updated living room!) If I still had $ leftover, another large indoor/outdoor rug for the master bedroom; it would have to be large dog friendly!

  18. I would definitely get one of those beautiful white bowls you picked up–Gorgeous! And…we are in desparate need of some dining chairs. I love pier 1!
