Chandelier at Home Depot

Thank you all so, SO much for your responses to my little survey. If you haven’t taken it yet, I’d really love your help. I want to make sure I’m capturing a good sample of my readers. The feedback so far has been amazingly helpful as I’m organizing what to say at Alt. CLICK HERE…

Thank you all so, SO much for your responses to my little survey. If you haven’t taken it yet, I’d really love your help. I want to make sure I’m capturing a good sample of my readers. The feedback so far has been amazingly helpful as I’m organizing what to say at Alt.

Also, the overwhelming response to the last question – which asked for constructive criticism about my blog and how it can be better – was that you readers want more photos of my home and my projects again. I hear you! And truthfully, I feel the same way. I know the reason many of you started reading LGN was because of the project sharing. Those projects led to successes in my design business, and I feel as a result of that, I’ve been less available to focus on sharing with you readers.

Part of my resolution list this year is to get back to basics and focus more energy on original content. So, I guess that’s my long-winded way of saying – thanks for hanging in there! Great posts are on the way! Promise.

ANYWAY! Let’s talk lighting. This was a fun sight for me last week as I rounded the corner to the lighting department in Home Depot.

I’m a sucker for round chandeliers. This one comes in two sizes 21″ and 14″. So pretty in an entry, a dressing room or a fancy powder bath! Not cheap at $300 and $400 each, but also not too crazy.

  1. wow! beautiful!

love it … but i have to be honest i wish it was a bit cheaper … yikes! i'm sure it's worth it, but it's out of my range.

maybe it will come down? or go on sale? let's hope! :)

  2. Jenny-I'm so glad to hear that you'll be focusing more on projects. That is how I found your blog and I love to see your DIY's or rooms you've designed.

Also, that chandelier is ah-mazing. I've got to go to the HD to check it out for myself. I'm with Michael-Innkeeper (above). I'm hoping it won't be a hit in my neck of the woods and that it will go on sale and I can snatch it up. I would love this in my master bedroom!

  3. Yes, the lighting is nice. But my concern is if it's being sold at HD then everyone will have one.
I would prefer something that not everyone has already seen.

  4. Actually, the reason I love your blog is that you show us the great design in stores that are available to all of us! Joann's, Home Depot, etc. Of course, I live in an area where traditional reigns so it isn't too likely that anyone else will have that ;)

  5. Gorgeous, I have a similar one hanging in my Master bath, but instead of regular circles, mine is made of swirly metal bent and then shaped into a circle. I love it, it makes such cool shadows on the ceiling and wall, and gulp, it was more than the Home Depot Chandelier, but I had to have it!!!

  6. I love round light fixtures right now, too! DH and I have been considering making DIY knockoffs of the Random Light fixtures from DWR for our two storey foyer. http://www.dwr.com/product/lighting/ceiling/pendants-chandeliers/random-light-small.do?sortby=ourPicks.

We love the Random fixture, but it may be a little too modern for our home. This HD one is a good choice, and I see in the comments someone else put a linky for a Z Gallerie option. I'm off to check that out in a minute!

I'm also loving the DWR Etch Pendant. I think it would be awesome in a bedroom.

  7. I like it, but I wouldn't be able to get past all the jokes my dad would have about New Year's Eve every time he came over. :)

  8. I'd love the larger one for my stairwell–I'll have to stick it on the to buy section of my to do list.

  9. After filling out your survey, I decided it's finally time to stop lurking! :) I've been a reader for about a year or so and I love your blog.

Anyway, GREAT light fixture–I've been looking for something for my entryway and this might be a contender. Thanks for posting this!

  10. It reminds me of the ball they drop in Times Square on NYE. I wish my dining room was set up for a chandelier, but alas that is what I get for living in a pseudo-loft.
