I have a feeling there is a DIY project in my future involving a small dining room and a box of inexpensive mirror tiles from the hardware store. Before seeing this photo I would have gone with plain, flat finish mirrors, but I actually like the look of the bevel here.

Ooh. How cool would a wall of octagonal mirrors be?

  1. I loved this look when I saw this photo. I think the small tiles make it look so much more modern. Sometime big mirror walls give me bad flashbacks to those beach condos when I was a kid :)

This is the first time I've noticed that big donut art over the fireplace. Funny.

  2. Hoping you know that putting up mirror tiles is not for rank amateurs like me! They came with little adhesive squares and little by little within 10 to 20 minutes of putting them up, they fell down! You probably know you must use mirror mastic and blue tape until they have fully adhered!
I finally had professionals come in and do large sheets of real mirror – and loved the effect.

    Good luck on your project!

  3. I saw this image in Lonny and obviously loved it, but for some reason seeing it isolated here just made it click! I HAVE to do this on either side of the fireplace in our teensy tiny living room! I could make them look like giant windows! Brills. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. I was wondering if anyone knew where the chairs in that dining photo came from? I just recovered four vintage chrome chairs in white vinyl and am looking for end chairs for a rectangular table. Those chairs would be perfect!!!
