After this morning’s post about buying designer fabric on eBay, I popped online to see what’s available right now. I think these three fabrics would help make an absolutely adorable little (or big) girl’s room.
1. Brunschwig & Fils ‘Dzhambul’ (3 largish remnants for about $20)
Use it to upholster a small bench like this $45 LA Craig’s List one (and maybe use the extra remnants for a throw pillow or two)
2. Pink Scalamandre ikat (about 2 yards for $40)
for a twin or full-size DIY headboard in this shape.
3. Schumacher toile ($14.99/yard with more than 12 yards available with Buy-It-Now)
This fabric looks so much like the fabric Ruthie Sommers used on these awesome chairs
If you don’t have room to do the bench and a chair, I think the fabric above would also look great as a quilt or duvet cover at the foot of the bed on top of simple bedding, like this.
To find other high-quality, normally expensive fabrics on eBay, I like to search in the fabric category with some of these words:
Scalamandre
Schumacher
Clarence House
Lee Jofa
Brunschwig
Cowtan
Kravet
Quadrille
Lulu DK
Canovas
Kime
Hicks
Woah. Love the toile.
Actually, love it all together.
Awesome!
How come I can never find anything when I search on eBay? I guess I never really know what I’m looking for…
I love these pinks though. too bad I have two boys. And what I would give or a girl next…
